Perspective Parodox

Ah, Yes, The good old glass half whatever metaphor
I have always been a realist. When I was younger I believed that everyone should feel the same as me, but because that was statistically impossible I determined that people's opinions of me don't matter.
Now that I've been out in the world a little I realize whether I like it or not People's opinions of me are always going to matter, because too many people in the world give opinions, whether they are positive or negative ones, too much power over their decisions. Realistically; I realized; I could not behave however I pleased where ever I pleased.
Self expression is not valued in this country the way self confinement is. (by self confinement I mean to keep yourself to yourself) Artists rarely make enough money to live on, so I am a self expressive broke person working in a place where they prefer I were self confining. Realistically I'm going to fail.
The problem with being a realist is that it's only a useful perspective to have if you are doing things that are science and math based.

~Realistic people seem to come off as cold to others, pessimists annoy most, and optimists annoy me.~

It is time to... BLOG

Sometimes I wonder some bizarre things.

Example A: "what would I do if a fire broke out while I was in the shower?"

I decided that I would get all the clothing in the bathroom wet and run out in that to minimize burning. Which led me to wonder if that would even work. I've determined that would only work if the fire started on the farthest side of the house from the bathroom in which I was showering.

Example B: "What if a unicorn got rabies?"

I am really not sure how to even start pondering that one. Would that unicorn's mouth foam be rainbow? or maybe glittery? I bet a rabid unicorn would be a horrifying thing to see. How does one manage to stop a rampaging rabid unicorn, or any mythical creature for that matter....

"Big Miracle"

Animal movies never chock me up, but I must admit that in this movie I was sniffling. This morning I was reading reviews for this movie on my e-mail's new feed, and I think I may have even rolled my eyes a bit. I thought that "Big Miracle" would be a rip off of "free willy", but this movie was SOOO much better.
I have never found being an activist appealing, but this does make me want to send a charitable donation to Greenpeace once I am financially stable. Great movie, go see it!

My Little Obsession

So today I'd like to talk about my discovery. I am a brony. It has been called to my attention in the past that being a female fan of the tv seires "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" doesn't make me a "brony", because bronies are predominately male, and to that I say Nay. (and other bad puns brought to you by Kate, but I digress)

Many people think that being a brony makes you a weirdo, but they don't stop to actually think about it. Lauren Faust has to be one of my biggest female heroes at this point in my life. she's also been so great to her fans. For example; the brony community (i.e. Web Forums) had named a pegasus pony, Derpy Hooves because of her Derpy eyes, and not only did Lauren not object, but she seems to be including more parts with Derpy in her episodes. Lauren even gave Derpy Hooves a speaking role two episodes ago. (in S2 E14)

If I could meet anyone one in the world today I do believe I'd choose to meet Lauren. (Lauren, if you ever read this you rule!!)
